Lore
And so we introduce you to the Hippo Drone. Largely impractical, highly impactical:
Long has humanity looked to the bird’s mastery of the sky jealously. And in this age we have claimed this mastery for our own and automated the very concept of flight. We now can see as the birds see without ever leaving the ground with Drones.
And so what next? Arguably the Hippo, happy and frolicking in the river, may never have looked up to the birds, and wished for the ability to soar on the breeze, but then again, maybe so. Therefore why not share the delight of flight? Never mind the energy density required to maintain the flight of the Hippo Drone, and the resulting lack of any useable cargo space, we said let’s go for it. Just in case.
So then, it is up to you, to decide for yourself whether this lofty enterprise bore merit on this premise, or was a sheer absurdity, and a waste of good resources. Furthermore, the same logic may be applied in turn to the production of the HippoDrone Coin itself, being a representation of the absurd, and therefore having no value to anything real in the world. One might pose the Hippothesis that this juxtaposition of absurdities is the sole purpose to which the creator has imbued the minting of this coin.
Well one would be wrong. With the HippoDrone Coin we hope to present an interactive display of Hippo air superiority that will delight and keep you in suspense.
The HippoDrones are outfitted, and tested en masse as evidenced by the spectacle where we blotted out the sun briefly with their numbers (The Hippoclyse: that was us, not the moon).
Join us as HippoDrone Operators! Take Flight! To the naysayers, haters, and the like, we say, keep one eye on the sky, or one day a shadow you will see on the ground, right before we Drop a Hippo on you!
DISCLAIMER: No Hippos have been harmed at any point in this development process. HippoDrone control software stops the Hippo drop two feet above the ground or any sharo objects that could harm the Hippo.
